Forms Of Modest Islamic Clothing

By Enid Hinton

Among the many types of faith there are in this world, the Islamic faith has proven to have one of the many number of followers. It is recognized to have a very strict combination of rules and regulations which are put forward to guide the worshipers in their journey of faith and below is the modest Islamic clothing as per this faith.

Women are preferred in long dresses that cover their whole body so that they do not reveal part of their skin to the rest of the world. Some call these types of dresses long dresses, others like to refer to them as maxi dresses but whatever the name one prefers, they are the best for the Islamic religion.

On top of these maxi skirts, the tops should also not reveal any part of their skin. They are supposed to have long sleeves. The colour is not an issue hence women can put on any colour which catch their eye the most. Many people complain that they may feel heat but interestingly enough these ladies have adapted to this kind of life so they do not even complain.

If a close observation is made during the various game tournaments, some of the attires worn are very short hence not acceptable to Muslims. To make sure that they also take part in the games, they are equipped with their own attire which includes body covering sports wears which makes them respect their faith while at the same time taking part in other activities.

Ladies are also supposed to put a covering on their heads. This is because it acts as distraction to men and can cause them to become lustful which is a sin. While in the house they can let loose their hair but should not be seen like this outside their homes the only men who are supposed to get access to this view are the husbands and family members only.

Long robes, small fitting hats and sandals are the type of dressing which identifies the men. Some dye their hair n beards as a sign of recognition of some form of authority, like the imams. However, during times of prayer, shoes are supposed to be left at the entrance of the mosque. This is after they have dully washed their feet as a sign of respect and hats taken off.

There are consequences to breaking of rules especially for the case of women. Due to the strong influence of western culture and emerging fashion trends in the market every now and then, some ladies and up disowning their religion in a bid to fit in the crowd and feel the beauty that comes about in living this kind of lifestyle. Such are excommunicate from the religion and neglected by their families and friends as a form of punishment for their misconduct.

In summary, all members of a particular faith are required to be loyal and respectful to it despite what other people do or say to try and sway them from their faith. They should put in mind that this is not done for the fear of the spiritual leaders rather it is done for the fear of the Lord.
